Where’s the coal on this locomotive? There’s no tender area behind her, so where is it kept on such a tiny locomotive? In the cab?

To get Lucie to Pickering I was expecting it to be drawing a 5 plank wagon with coal in it and a water carrier of some description. Unless Piglet took the easy option & pulled it behind a diesel.

Nice selection of diesel locomotives in attendance!! It’s good to see how many of them come to gala type events.

Personally, I would visit a Steam Gala rather than a diesel one. I used to volunteer at the Epping Ongar Railway, but had to give up due to my illness.

As a matter of interest, is this the Diesel Gala on the NYMR?
